We are offering our network and our expertise in Egypt to all companies considering a local production in Egypt. We have an office in Alexandria and a partner office in Cairo.
Since the mid-80s I have been traveling to Egypt for business or holidays. This country with a population of about 100 million inhabitants is a huge, lucrative market. Today's government has set itself the goal of massively strengthening the economy and has successfully launched a number of investment programs. One of the main goals is to boost local production. For this purpose existing export/import barriers were reduced.
In the mid-nineties I set up a workshop with a partner in Cairo to recycle toner modules for laser printers. We evaluated and procured the necessary means to recycle laser toner modules. I traveled with my then still young family twice to Egypt for a month, rented an apartment and set up the workshop and started up the production. It was very successful for four years. Main issue was that when I wasn't present the workshop work wasn't taken care of properly. Therefore I decided to sell my shares to my partner.
